I’ve been developing websites and working in Internet marketing since 1997. During this time I have worked for Fortune 100 companies, start-up firms, and everything in between. On each project, I was either employed directly by the company in marketing or development manager capacity or worked as an external consultant. Here is a short list of some of my favorite projects:

Energy Audit InstituteJun 2009 – The Energy Audit Institute is the online leader in Energy Audit Training. Mental Edge contributed the website development effort and all online marketing efforts. EAI was owned and operated by Mental Edge owner Jeff Cairnes from Jan 2009 through Dec 2010. Energy Audit Institute now does its own marketing and website development. |

Mental Edge created their website and continues to deliver their SEO program that helps them keep their Page 1 ranking in evey major search engine including Google, MSN, and Yahoo! |

OMW Racing TeamApr 2009 – OMW is a grass roots mountain bike racing team located in Austin, Texas. OMW stands for “Outta My Way” which is exactly how this team races each year in the TMBRA Texas state series. OMW just got full sponsorship from Endovers Bike Shop in Austin for the upcoming 2012 race season. I updated the website in Nov 2011 with a new logo and color scheme using WordPress as the operating system. |

Denby EnergyJan 2009 – Worked with Denby Energy to create an Energy Auditor Certification program that enables people to earn an income by helping companies save energy. Program included website development in WordPress, online testing center, affiliate program, autoresponder series, and more. |

Excel CommunicationsAug 2003 – Vartec purchased Excel in an attempt to leverage their independent reps to sell its local, long distance, wireless, and internet products. Mental Edge created similar bundling strategies for home phone, Internet access, and cell phones with shared voicemail and email. |

LassoIn 2001 Lasso had a vision for a new multi-party transaction engine. The engine allowed users to not only exchange items on a 1-to-1 level the way eBay does but on a many-to-many level. This concept was to challenge eBay for control of the used item market. Mental Edge worked with Lasso until they lost funding shortly after launching. |

BonanzaDeveloped in 2001 for Lasso, Bonanza was the first C2C barter website. Using a proprietary matching engine, consumers could trade their goods and services for equal value items in multi-party trades. Mental Edge was part of the website development effort, viral marketing team and on-going sales strategy process. Bonanza lost its funding and closed shortly after launch. |

TradepostDeveloped in 2001 for Lasso Technologies. TradePost was the first B2C liquidation website (similar to Overstock). Using a proprietary matching engine, merchants could unload their unwanted goods to the public at below closeout prices. Mental Edge worked to develop the business owner sales strategy and successfully landed several large merchants. Tradepost lost its funding just after launch and was closed. |

CashcowDeveloped in 2001 for Lasso Technologies. Cashcow was to be the multi-level marketing version of Bonanza. The program was developed based on a 10-level commission program that was to be kick started by existing industry experts from other existing network marketing companies. Cashcow was successfully launched but never truly got started due to the parent company closing. |

Excel CommunicationAug 1999 – Excel communications operated as one of the largest telecom providers using independent representatives to sell their services. Mental Edge helped build a new recruiting and sales tool called IR Homesites. This tool enabled reps to recruit and sell using replicated website templates. This program was hugely successful as Excel was an early technology adopter and IR Homesites was the flagship of this innovation. |

CallnCarryDeveloped in 1997 for ILD Telecommunications. CallnCarry was developed as a “Virtual” calling card platform that delivered a PIN number upon purchase. CallnCarry was advertised in the NASCAR circuit by Ernie Ervin and the M&M’s car. This program was the launching point for Mental Edge Marketing. The huge success of this program got the 4th largest telecom carrier at the time, Excel Communications to help them build their own online systems. |
